About the event
Overview
The initiation or transmission of a firefighter distress signal, “Mayday, Mayday, Mayday ” may produce more stress and potential chaos than any other singular type of incident we respond to. As firefighters, fire officers, and trainers we must develop a plan on how to address Life Safety, Incident Stabilization and Property Conservation for the original Incident and a new incident within the same scene that now involves one of our own.. Our lives and the lives of our fellow firefighters depend on our preparatory efforts. This course will review lessons learned from previous incidents, material every firefighter should know about calling a Mayday, review skills all firefighter should be aware of, review Rapid Intervention Teams and the equipment they use, and help you preplan and prepare for the next call where a Mayday may be called!
